i have an order that is due tomorrow for a bday cake for a girl at work..i thought she had wanted yellow cake so i made a yellow cake (2 layers) had already put in the icing in the middle and also iced it...then looked at my notes...SHE WANTED LEMON CAKE!! ugh so i had to go to walmart a lil while ago and pick up 2 lemon cake mixes and baking them now..had to redo all the icing and everything..told my mom to come get the "booboo" cake..lol..gave it to her and im making the ordered cake yet again..this time w/lemon cake..lol...
Anybody else ever made a wrong flavor cake for a customer and had to start over?

Try to save it with a lemon glaze first. Combine powdered sugar with lemon juice added to it. Poke holes in the cake and spread evenly over the top. Very Happy
ill try that next time i make a booboo cake..lol...my mom came and got the one i messed up and i already baked the lemon one for the customer..husband said i was stressing out to much and thats why i keep messing up
