I waw hoping someone out there would know where to buy plateaus at a reasonable price. Thanks in advance.
Those beautiful silver/brass cake stands (square or round usually) that wedding cakes, or any cake for that matter sit on. They're soooo expensive but are just beautiful.
I just ordered a 18in round one it was only $80 and $20 to ship.

it says thres a minimum order but ther isnt i only ordered the one and the price stayed the same
Check Ebay. That is where I got the one I have. There are some pretty good prices on there.

You could consider renting the plateaus if you don't need them often, or look for alternative stands. I sometimes buy several sturdy metal candle holders to put under cakes as fancy stands. I do that for competition wedding cakes and people are always asking me where I got my stands, heehee! You can look in My Photos and see a couple cakes in there with candle holders under them.
