ok who watches this show. im not sure how long it has been coming on but a few weeks back my tv was on that channel and i somehow was drawn in and watched dit. what a crazy show. so last night was the season premiere. and crazy doesnt even cover it. it was 2 hours long 2 different episodes the first one not so crazy i guess everyone "learned" something from it. but the second episode was well crazy!!!!! the one family thought they were pirates. 
as i watch this show alot of times i think hmmm i wonder how long after this airs does CPS visit them....... some of those kids are neglected and those houses are awful.
I've watched on/off since it started. I agree that sometimes I wonder if CPS shows up after it's shown on TV. Man, some of these people are crazy!! I got to watch the first one last nite, but we also watch Two and A Half Men, so we changed channels. Sorry I missed the second one, I really would have liked to watch it too!!!!
I watch it too Susan...well I watched the first one, then turned it to Two and a Half Men (I love that show...to funny!) then I turned it back to Wife Swap to watch the second half of the second episode. I don't think that I would care much about living my life as a pirate.

Susan I watch it too. How wierd were the pirates?! That was one of the oddest famlies they have had on. I couldn't live in such filth(and if I did I sure wouldn't let anyone film it and put it on tv for everyone to see). I am always amazed at how different the famlies are. It's sort of like watching a train wreck and I just can't look away no matter how awful it is.
I love seeing how different families are!!!!
Who knows when you might learn something from them-whether they're super smart or a little kooky! LOL!
The biggest issue I had with them was that the other wife paid over $400 worth of their bills!!!
They didn't even know when they were going to pay their bills.........they just know they'll get paid.....am I missing something?!?! LOL! There's no way I could live like that! Nor could I organize my freezer, but............anyway!
i know what you mean i cant see how anyone could live that way.
what was wrong with the pirate lady chasing after their car with a sword yelling her pirate talk at them!!! omg i was laughing so hard. and omg they let their kids cuss. whats up with that.
sometimes i think hmm i need to call cps and say ok please tell me you guys watch wife swap and pay half of these families a visit.!!!!!! oh oh and what about that one episode with the lady who only ate raw vegetables and would cry about it and was working on a way to eat the sun. omg what a nut. the new husband was like if we can eat the sun then why are there starving children all over the world!!!! of course she had no answer.
I laughed so hard at the woman who ate the sun for breakfast!! Hubby was outside the next morning and I asked him if he was full yet so I wouldn't have to cook! He gave me one of those looks....
But I have to say the pirates took the cake! 
That house was so disgusting!! My skin crawled when the woman pick up the roach out of the dog food....gag!!!!!!
EWWWWW.................that bug in the dog food just kinda "did it" for me!!!! We have a dog, but ummmm.........there's no bug in this house---that I know of, lol!!! And, definitely not in the dog food! YUCK!
I guess I missed the one about the lady eating the sun!!!!! I wish I had seen that one....tell me more, or is there a website I can read about it.

Oh Lord, I am completely addicted to this show. Cracks me up how people live and they always pair polar opposites to make the most drama. Some of the husbands should be whipped! 'Course, some of the wives are lazy beyond description. It also shows how some people should not be homeschooling their children! I mean, 1 hour and then it was time for a break?? And that one show with the kids who were practically falling over from exhaustion from a day in regular school? They are going to be soooo not prepared for real life and that is sad.
This show cracks my up!! I like trading spouses too but it is 2 episodes and that is too much... I don't like having to wait a week to see how it ends and they totally fill the time with that weird musics and editing to make all the characters look like they are just sitting there in awe of whatever the other person just did or said. You can tell that it is pure editing..... 
My favorite is when the 'trashy' family (forgive me but they always make sure one family is untidy or strange) turns out to be soooo much better then the "other" family! Like the tatooed lady trading with the obnoxious beauty queen who thought popularity was so much more important than homework.... or the other beauty queen who put her daughter on restriction for having chipped finger nail polish.
OMG! I swear...what I'm about to tell you is true!!! 
Hubby and I was up this a.m. watching CNN headline news. They were actually doing a phone interview with Cap'n Slappy and Ol' Chumbucket!!!! Today is National Talk Like a Pirate Day!! Cap'n Slappy actually sang a pirate rap song!!! 
I laughed so hard this morning I had tears rolling!!!

Thats one of the few shows I do love to watch... that and supernanny (not Nanny911 I dont like that one) but I so wish I could do Wife Swap..... as for the pirate life OMG what a joke.... I couldn't imagine that either..... as for the nasty homes 
another show I love that deals with that is Clean House (not Clean sweep). I find it really hard to believe that many people out there live like that, and could stay the way the show leaves the home, I just dont see it but I love to watch it, and wonder the whole time ... Is this show for real? I think perhaps they are told to make the house worse then it is....
I watch when I can. The pirates house groused me out, I only watched for a little bit and then went and rescrubbed my kichen and bathrooms. the best was the lady who tried to no longer eat but just absorb the sun, she looked so unhealthy too! Everyone needs cake!
