HI all,
I am making a shower cake with the fondant booties and onesie, the problem for me is that I am making a chocolate mousse filling so I have to refridge the cake. So do I put them on the cake and refridge it or should I make them and leave them off on the counter on wax paper till I leave for the shower the next day? I hear some people say they don't refride it it will condensate and others say it is fine. I am making the MMF. Thanks for the help.

If I were you, I would leave them off the cake until you take it out of the fridge, just to be on the safe side!

Thank you kellym, is putting them on wax paper the brest or parchment? And should I cover them or better to leave open to air?

I put my fondant pieces on wax paper and never have a problem. Since I am usually drying them, I just leave them to open air. If you need to keep your pieces moist, then seal them up, but you probably want the booties nice and firm. I don't know about the onesie? I would probably just lay everything out on wax paper, uncovered.

Thanks, you're sweet icon_smile.gif Yes, I make my own chocolate MMF. I add one square unsweetened chocolate to the marshmallows when I melt them, and sift in 1 tbsp cocoa powder with the powdered sugar.
