One of the cake ball recipes calls for coco powder if the cake isn't chocolate based. Is it a necessity for success? I don't have any coco powder and a butter cake mix to work with. I am going to add the white chocolate raspberry creamer as liquid. Will they work out? It is my first try for cake balls!
TIA
Cory

when i make mine(and im not sure if its right but WOW they are good) i just use whatever cake scraps that i have and then a flavor creamer that would go good with that, or if you have a white cake mix you can use any flavor. just mash up ur cake add the creamer alittle at a time, roll into balls and the pop them into the freezer, since im cheap i bought the "candy dippers" at Micheals for 1.95 to roll the balls around in the chocolate. They have the fancy ones, but my little plastic ones worked great. Oh and I serve mine chilled.

I've made many from different flavored cakes and have never added cocoa powder and they are always GREAT. (I might need to go and make some now!) Yours should be fine w/out cocoa I'd think.
