I have a cake for the week-end and she has requested a "elegant" white cake for the adults. HELP!!!! I've read about a sour cream almond that sounds good, anyone make this? I would appreciate any help or advice.

Thanks,
Lisa

Yes, the WASC cake is wonderful! You will love it. : ) I even use that recipe for other flavors (changed a little bit).

WASC is hugely popular with the bakers at this site and for good reason. it is out of this world!

Yes, definitely try WASC!! I made one for a neighbor 'just because' and soon heard that I had a huge reputation as the neighborhood baker!

Another yummy is DH Classic White with a box of instant white chocolate pudding and an extra egg. Love it! Pairs well with raspberry filling.

I do the white cake mix with white chocolate pudding and extra egg. Very popular with my customers, but I haven't tried the WASC

Do you use any particular brand of cake mix when you do yours? I have never tried adding pudding to the mix but I love white chocolate so I think I would like this. Also like the raspberry filling as mqguffy mentioned above.

TIA,
Diane

I vote WASC also! It is the best - used it for my daughter's wedding cake and got lots of rave reviews!!

I like the Duncan Hines Classic White. Oh yeah, and add a tsp. of almond extract.

I like to use seedless raspberry jam for the filling.
