How do I stack cakes so that the top layer board does not stick to the layer underneath it and pull the icing off when removed?

Powdered sugar between the icing and the board is supposed to work, I always mean to do it but forget so my icing sticks. icon_redface.gif

you can cut a circle of parchment or waxed paper the size of the top layer to put under the board... it shouldn't stick...[/i]

Powdered sugar, granulated sugar and coconut are all supposed to work. I've also used crushed vanilla wafers on a beach cake (for sand), and that actually worked great. Not one bit of frosting stuck to the top cake.
