Hi

I just recieved a delivery of Icecraft Sugarpaste (made by British Sugar) and it is excellent - no more Tesco fondant for me. It was OK priced (well as OK as it can be here) I paid £10 for 5KG. I really thought it tasted better and it was so silky. I managed to cover my board first try without any tearing and it was really strong. I can see now why it is getting good write ups in the decorating magazines.

I really wish I was using it on the cake I am doing today! But that one is my first ever all buttercream and I am having a nightmare covering it without ripping the cake up. Thats why I always work with fondant - I can just fling it over the top.

Anyone else tried the Icecraft paste?

I just Googled British Sugar and don't see that they have distribution to the US. Do you know if it can be purchased anywhere in the US?

Hi

I know that it is quite a new product here so it may not have US distributers yet. However, the online UK store that I purchased from deliver worldwide as I am sure many others here do. I ordered from design-a-cake.co.uk.

I think the icing was previewed here at the National Cake Show last year and is now for general sale.

Hopefully I will get to cover a whole cake with it soon, and if there are any CCrs who have tried it, please let me know what you think.
