PVC pipe with O-rings on the ends so that it's a perfect 1/8 inch layer!! Find it at home depot, lowes, hardware stores and cut down to the size you desire!!

hey and if you split it lengthwise, you get flower drying racks for cheap too.

And dowels there.

And big drywall trowels, for b/c icing.

Man who ever thought you would be shopping at home depot or lowes to make a cake. We get the best of both worlds, building and baking. I'm going to lowes now for PVC, thanks for the tip.
