....and I can't remember the answers.

When making a half sheet cake, how do you manage to lift and move the torted top half to put a filling in such a big cake??? I made two last night and tried to slide a flat cookie sheet in between the two layers. It worked sort of ok but not great and one of the cakes almost cracked on me.

Thanks

I'll use a cookie sheet (w/out edges) or a quarter sheet board... Just gotta line it up and let it go at once!

You mean how to get it off, right.
Well thats what I have heard is to use a cookie sheet without edges and carefully keepm sliding it under the top layer.

I think you can add some powder sugar to it to help it slide. HTH

I use a cake board the same size if not bigger. It goes on the same as it came off. Slide to match and don't lift up. You could break the top part of the cake. That I have done in the past. icon_cry.gif
