For those of you who use the buttercream dream recipe on this site, do you keep your iced cakes in the fridge since the icing has butter and milk in it? Does it go bad if you leave it out for an extended period of time? How long will it last unrefrigerated?

I made a cake with it on Thursday for my daughter's birthday, and we are still eating it and it tastes just as good today as it did at the party on Saturday. It has not been in the refrigerator.

There is so much sugar and fat in buttercream dream that it should be okay to sit out for a few days. I made a cake last Wednesday and finished it off on sunday evening - it was fine!! Just keep your cake covered!
