I will be doing my daughter's bridal shower cake next month and want to do a small flower arrangement on top. Knowing my gumpaste/fondant flower making skills are still in the very early stages, I am not confident enough to do them for the cake, and considering opting for some real nice silk flowers so the cake looks special for her........ so why do I feel like such a cheater (even failure) because it wont' be all done by hand?
Has anyone else ever felt that way?
You can also buy them at www.wholesalesugarflowers.com. Their prices are great and mine arrived without a single broken flower or leaf.
I knew I could count on you all for support to make me feel better. ![]()
I guess doing a silk flower arrangement would be a better keepsake than a gumpaste one (no worry of accidently breaking). I really need to practice more on the making of flowers as someday I would like to be able to do an "arrangement" to be proud of.
