Baby Face-- Do I Need A Mold Or Are These Hand Made?
Decorating By CAKESHERWAY Updated 25 Jul 2007 , 3:47am by Elizabeth19
Hi! I have seen several baby shower cakes with the baby faces/heads used in different ways. Does anyone know where I would be able to find these molds or could I make it by hand with gumpaste/fondant? I need to figure this out for a cake due Sunday! Thanks!
can you attatch a link for the kind of baby face you are talking about?? I know you can buy a mold (I just saw it today) in the clay department of craft stores, and many people mold little figures out of fondant.
Here's a link I found on how to make a mold. I just did this last week and it works great.

Fortunately I have a little girl with dolls available so I just cleaned it real good.
Here's a baby face mold from Earlene, in 3 sizes: http://www.earlenescakes.com/store/images/molds/M-ERBABYFC_LG.jpg
Here's one by Holly Products, also 3 sizes: http://www.globalsugarart.com/product.php?id=19664
Here's one by Sunflower Sugar Art, single size, comes in 2 other sizes: http://www.globalsugarart.com/product.php?id=19338
You guys are the BEST! I especially love the idea of making my own mold! Now, my wheels are turning about what else I could use to make molds!!!!! Oh yeah! This will be great!!! Thanks again!
I love the one from Holly Products, you can make it boy or girl, sleeping or awake and they are so adorable!!!
