Has anyone ever used chocolate transfer sheets? I want to order some but want to see how easy/hard they are to use before I do so. Thank you in advance for your wonderful input!

Yes, I use them a lot. if you get them from www.berylscakes.com you only have to order 5 sheets minimum. From what I am understanding at other sites you have to use more. If you go to www.countrykitchensa.com You will see how to do it. You don't need those perfection strips they show. The perfection strips are good for rolling out cookie dough though. When you get to CK make sure you click onto the home page. You will see the sheets there. If you have any questions post me.

Hi!! I haven't personally used them, I'm sorry, but here's another bump, AND, try contacting BritBB... she posted a cake in the last few days that was done with chocolate transfers. Her description said it was a real (insert naughty word here)! hahaha! Good luck!

I just looked at Brit's. I think doing it on white choc. is a little harder because if your not carefull every little smudge shows. Maybe that's what she is talking about. Although hers looks perfect. Also, she has a lot of straight lines on her transfer. That could be a problem trying to get the lines straight. But doesn't her cake look amazing? I have used the Happy Birthday one and the ones that are sort of free flowing and swirley to avoid that. I did have problems with the ladybug one because I wasn't carefull enough not to smear it. But it is so worth the effect and accolades from everyone.

The link for Beryl's is below. The other one took me to something else.

There are nice ones at http://www.fancyflours.com/site/chocolate-transfer-sheets.html and I don't think they have a minimum order. I've ordered 1 sheet in the past.
I tried mine on cookies-turned out ok.

Thank you all. Beryls is about 30 minutes from my house. I think I will drop in there and see what they have. I am anxious to try this out!

Now, for those of you who use these transfers, do I need to temper Callebaut couverture semi-sweet to use it with these? Oh, I am just beside myself with joy icon_lol.gif

My pleasure ibmoser. I've been lurking on this site, collecting tips, so I'm glad I could finally contribute a little. Can't wait to see what you do with the pink flamingo transfer sheets!
