icon_cry.gif Please help. Every time I try and cover a round cake in fondant I get these pleats all around it. I have tried to many things but how do I get these extra folds out? In my wilton class we covered a square cake and I had no problems but ever since I have lumpy round cakes. icon_sad.gif What is the secret?

set the cake on a pedastal - the folds will fall below the bottom of the cake.

I used to get the 'pleats' all of the time. I agree with jmt1714, make sure you are elevating the cake- and my main problem- make sure you are rolling out enough fondant. Now if I could only figure out the square cakes! icon_cry.gif Good luck!!!
