Ok I am trying to do rolled buttercream. I started it a day ago. I read what it said to do if it were sticky and it was. I have added an additional
1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar and it is still oily and kind of sticky. I don't know if this is normal. I have stopped for tonight. I will try again tomorrow. Last night I left it in a bag in a container over night on the counter. Would that affect it?? Tonight I put it in the fridge. I really liked the taste of this better than wilton so I want to get it right. Any help would be greatly appreciated icon_biggrin.gif I haven't tried the MMF yet so I don't know what it is like or how it tastes. HHHEEEELLPP icon_cry.gif

I just made my first batch of rolled buttercream over the weekend. It is more oily/greasy than MMF, but tastes WAY better, and for me at least, it is easier to make and handle.

Mine was not as durable as MMF, but I think I needed to add a bit more PS to it. But so much easier to knead colors into it, etc. And no melting marshmallows, etc.
