Good Morning everyone! I have three questions about wedding cakes.

When you make a cake the day before and put it in the fridge, what do you put it in to keep it from drying out, or the other stuff in your fridge touching it?

When you are putting real flowers on a cake, how early in advance do you purchase the flowers?

And, for all of you that transport a two layer cake already stacked, what type of box do you put it in to transport it?

Thanks for your help!

LJ

Put them in cake boxes in the fridge...........if you have them iced already, that will keep them from drying out. I would wait until the latest that you possibly can for the flowers.........as far as transporting, I can't help you there..........I never travel with a stacked cake, I always stack them on site.........but I am sure some one who has can give you the advice on that.

I leave mine sitting on the counter.

I do not purchase flowers. The bride is responsible for providing flowers and I have them leave the flowers on the cake table, so I can attach them when I set up the cake.

I never deliver stacked .... always assemble on-site.
