Thanks to Doug and all who gave me sugesstions for the family tree cake . Unfortunately, she did not want the cupcakes, she wanted a cake. So, I baked a 12 inch double layer cake, mind you, half yellow and half chocolate. and a nine by 13 double layer cake which after putting it on the board, cut it it the shape of a trunk. Used the large size leaf tip for the tree . for the names i iced 2 strips of white icing and then piped the names on the strips. I am keeping the cupcake tree diagram incase another order or my family union . again. thanks! i am going to try to upload in the gallery since the pic is too big to attach here.
