I made a cowboy hat cake a couple of weeks ago b/c my mom asked me to make it for her friend's b-day. So I did it and made a sheet full of glazed cake squares to go w/it. I bake/decorate as a hobby, not as a money-making job. My mom insisted on paying me. I kept telling her no. I'm not a legal baker so technically I can't charge anyway.
Today my mom calls me and says that the friend's mom was so impressed w/the cake that she got me a gift certificate to Stage. Wow, is all I can say! I feel so proud that someone actually thought my cake was good enough to 'pay' me. Aww, I feel special. LOL
