These things are addictive!

I bought a container of them yesterday and DH went back to the store today and bought another container of them.

They are absolutely wonderful!

Are they charging $6.00 per pound where you are? Makes me mad because I lived in Washington State for years and saw the quality fruit grown there, apples, pears, cherries. What we get from Washington State now in California is what they used to call Culls, meaning not the best quality. I will say the Rainer Cherries are wonderful, but at that price I will only buy them once this season.

I'd never heard of them until I moved to WA but they're grown here. I'm sure you have to live somewhat close to the state to get them? They're not that expensive here icon_eek.gif and yes, the quality of produce here is great thumbs_up.gif Love the Yakima produce!

Do they taste like bing cherries? I saw some at Sams and almost bought some, but had never tasted them before.

At the start of the season they're $6 a pound, but now they're on sale and $3 or $4 a pound. Many of them aren't looking so hot anymore. If you don't like Bing cherried, you might like Ranier cherries. They're not as tart and don't have as much "cherry" flavor.

Now, anyone like the saturn peaches (donut or flat peaches). YUM. Talk about expensive! I miss Houston, produce was always cheaper. Heck, I can't even get cheap corn here anymore.
