Welcome!!!

Use shortening on your mat, your rolling pin, your hands.

Here's an article posted on CC that is good:

I find that cornstarch helps as well.

What works for me is to tape down (with box tape) a large piece of heavy cotton fabric, run a lint roller over it to remove strings, link, etc., and then dust liberally with powdered sugar. Rub your hand over the powdered sugar to press it into the fibers. Add more powdered sugar for each new piece. Try to not put too much powdered sugar on the cloth, it will make it hard for the fondant to adhere to the cake, real or dummy.

I also light dust the top of the fondant with powdered sugar and brush it off to prevent the rolling pin from sticking.

This is how I was taught to do pie crusts, so I thought I would try it with fondant. I love it. I hope it works for you (if you try it). icon_smile.gif
