I am going to be making a 10-inch round cake for an upcoming reunion. I am going to put it on a 12-inch board and am having problems finding a box to put it in. My local craft stores only sell sheet cake boards. I haven't had any luck with the local bakeries either. Any suggestions?

I have been making 10" cake on 12" boards for a while. I found boxes for them at Micheal's and I've also seen some online...do a Google search for cake boxes or something if you can't find em and have time for shipping. Hope this helps.

Go to Wal-Mart or the post office or any where they sell boxes. They shoud have what your looking for!!!
Me, I live in the sticks and have to get creative. If you can find a plastic storage box, set the cake on the lid with a non-skid pad and put the bottom on the top. Kinda like a cake carrier used on the old days!
Good luck!!!!!

I buy my 12" boxes from country kitchen sweetart. You can buy a case or a think a set of ten.

Great tip heavenlys. I didn't think of that. I'll have to remember.

I love to use hatboxes that I have purchased from Hobby Lobby or Michael's. I have 3 different sizes and they work perfectly, but I do stress to whomever picks up the cake that they can NOT hold it by the rope handle! lol
