It's for a 2nd bday and I'm doing a sheet cake and cupcakes but I also wanted to do an individual mini cake for the little girl--just a little something extra because this is my first paid order. Yaaay! It's for the daughter of my mom's coworker.

I'm sure that would be fine. A 2 yr old can tear up a cake too!

I don't see anything wrong with doing a smash cake for any child's birthday. I think the whole smash cake thing for a first birthday is because it's more than likely the child's first time tasting something really sweet and letting them dig into it with their hands and face and catching it on camera. icon_smile.gif

I think it's a wonderful idea for that little something extra. icon_smile.gif

I love the idea! Not only does it give her something extra special, if she blows the candles out on the little cake instead of the main cake, you could be providing the other guests peace of mind! LOL!!! I know that my kids (5,3-1/2 and nearly 2) aren't good at blowing out candles yet without spitting! icon_wink.gif LOL!!!

Seriously, I think what you are doing is wonderful and will certainly help you get your business off to a good start!!!! thumbs_up.gif
