What mixer do you have and why do you like/dislike it? I need a new mixer and want to get some input first.

Thanks! icon_smile.gif

I am partial to Kitchenaids. Lowe's has a sale (mispriced Kitchenaid mixer on their paper ad) until 7/26. The 5qt Artisan mixers which are regularly priced $350 are on sale for $150. I was able to get 2 Custom Metallic series mixers in Satin Copper and True Chrome (also 5qt, regularly priced at $530) for the same sale price of $150.

See this big thread for more info: http://forum.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=401133&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=0

Note that some people have been able to get these mixers as low as $90 with price matching and discount coupons. I was able to do this at Bed Bath & Beyond with my special ordered Tangerine mixer.

KitchenAids are really good. Buy the biggest you can, I went from a 4.5 quart to a 6 and there's a huge difference.

I just bought my kitchen aid 6qt. Wow...what a great mixer. I should have bought one a long time ago. I went to the kitchen aid site and ordered it from there. Got a refurbished one for half the price.
