Okay, I love Cream Cheese Icing however I have had a real issue lately with it bubbling up after it sits for a couple of hours. I normally get a toothpick out and "pop" the bubbles and press out the air with a Viva papertowel. Even with that I have had more pop up later.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a secret to keeping those bubbles from even appearing?

Perhaps you are over mixing the cream cheese. I never beat it on anything but speed 1. If you mix it on too high of a speed, then you will work too much air into it. Maybe then the air is coming to the surface.

I agree, too much air whipped into icing, also did you ice a frozen cake perhaps? Once it starts to thaw the cold has to go somewhere, so if there is little air pockets it will cause them to make bubbles.
