Buttercream With Hi Ratio

My hi ratio buttercream won't crust icon_mad.gificon_mad.gif I use 2 cups per 2lbs of powder sugar along with the rest of my ingredients...am I using too much shortening??? First had trouble with Crisco and now this!!!!
