Do you use three layer cakes? I'm wondering, because when you cut the flat part in the bottom cake, and set the next cake into it, makes the cake that you set into it seem short...Does that make sense? icon_cool.gif

Well technically yes from one angle. But, your bottom cake is tilted as well so even when you cut out a small round you will still have the 3 layer height on one side and a shorter look on the other which in essence gives you the "topsy turvy" appearance you are looking for.

Yes, usually three layers looks best. I've done a small one with two layers but I thought it still looked too short.
