Has anyone seen this?

The new economical approach to wedding cake. I wonder what happens though if UPS loses your wedding cake!

VERY WEIRD!!!!!

Weird, still expensive too. I'd rather spend the $$ on a real cake.

what if the heat in transit melats some the fondant or screws up the colroing or some dangling designs or something? THEN WHAT? If it is shipped to you you can't have them just run over and fix something. Like someone else said...what if it gets lost in mailing or who knows. I know ups automatically give you insurance on shipped items but still, too risky to me.

Yes, MsTonya, I have seen this!!
This business is about 40 minutes from me! There was an article in a newspaper about her business and that is where I saw it. I was going to mention it here, but forgot her website name. Very interesting....she said that she had increasing requests for dummies, so she just came out with some designs. If I remember right, the closest business to us that does this is in Toronto!
Everyone at work could not understand doing this....not being served the cake that is at the table, although they all agreed this must save money (and heck, anything that saves money on the cake....)(sarcasm).
I personally don't like this, but I guess if you keep getting requests for it...

It'd definitely taste better! I read where the "secret compartment" for your peice of real cake will hold 3 pieces of Twinkie.....talk about cake on a budget! My 7-year old would love it icon_lol.gif , not so sure I'd want that for the piece of cake I share with my new husband.
