Help!making Edible Image Plaque

Help, I'm making an edible image plaque. I've made them before but it comes out looking blah! The colours on it are not vibrant but rather dull. When I put the image on BC it always brightens up. I am attaching the image to fondant using piping gel. Any tips anyone!
