Does anyone know if you can paint color on chocolate clay? I was hoping to use it on a cake in place of fondant and wanted a wood effect? Any suggestions would be much appreciated, I am very much a beginner! icon_smile.gif

Why don't you marble it? If you take a rope of white chocolate, dark chocolate and one 1/2 and 1/2 (milk choc. colour), twist them together then roll up and roll out. If it hasn't marbled enough, roll up again gently and roll out again. Looks quite "woody"

thanks, I tried to paint it and it worked quite well. I may try with more white chocolate next time.
