My layers are splitting in the middle when I torte them, will this cause a problem when I stack them?

At this point, I'm rebaking the bottom tier in individual layers, but I don't want to do the others. Is this a problem?

Bottom is 12 round w/ 10 stacked, then 8 and 6 tiered. Choc/caramel filling.

How long are you letting your cakes cool? Cakes that aren't cooled all the way are very delicate and will crack. If you are short on time you may want to put them in the fridge for awhile.

They were actually cool when I torted them. A few looked like bread with bubbles....I used the extender for the first time. I really like the taste but if they look like that...not for me.
