Has anyone tried or heard anything about Fat Daddio's pans? I saw them on the following website.

Is Magic Line everyone's favorite? What about Chicago Metallic Commercial pans?

The store i teach at sells the fat daddio pans, they are a very nice thick pan. Personally i haven't baked in any yet but they are way thicker then the wilton pans. They seem to have nice straight sides, i haven't paid that much attention to the corners, I'll have to look the next time i'm in the store. They seem about as thick as the magic line (i have acouple of these, and they do bake much better then the wilton)

OMG, the prices are so cheap!! I wonder how much shipping would be on these pans?

These pans have the same gauge or thickness of magic line... there are some differences.... magic line is hand made... in the usa. these are not... the edges/corners of fat daddio are not as sharp as magicline. Not sure if it matters so much with round pans. Fat daddio pans are annondized (i think thats right) they have a coating on em.... They are cheaper.... and there is a coupon on the site for 10% off 159.00

I was just in my favorite cake store and looked at the Fat Daddio pans. They do have straight side and square edges BUT the top of the corners look a bit rounded to me, so I didn't buy them. I wound up buying 2 Magic Line and 4 Wilton square pans, as they have really square corners.

I have tried the Fat Daddios pans and love them! I do like my Magic Line pans but the Fat Daddios pans seem to bake better, especially the square cakes. I had a nice even rise, good color, and they cleaned up nice. I saw the slight roundness that you mentioned on the bottom of the pan but It did not make a difference on the cake itself. Prices were fantastic too!

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks!
Lee

They do have their own website... http://fatdaddios.com/

I saw these at the convention. I didn't stop to shop because I currently have more pans than I know what to do with, but they looked to be a nice quality pan and had lots of different shapes and sizes.
