I have been searching the forums I see the term "doctoring" cake mixes. Where do I fo to find this subject? How do I do it?

Or look up cake mix extender in the recipes. I sometimes use this in my mixes and it is very good!

also, you can go to CC's recipes section, and get the cake mix enhancer recipe. I used it this week, and substituted almond extract for the vanilla, and it tasted as close to a scratch recipe as anyone could tell. It starts with your basic mix, then you add some flour, sugar and other ing. it makes enough batter in the one mix for (i believe) a 11x15 sheet pan. much more than your standard mix! The cake mix extender recipe in the recipe section on this website is a 'doctored' cake mix...just extra stuff ya add to a box cake mix to make more of it and make it taste better icon_wink.gif
