I am so excited about ICES convention this year.
I submitted a cake for the SugarArt Gallery. Wasn't brave enough last year. The cake that I submitted is my "Lone Star Cake".
I'm quite nervous about it being shipped but the company that does all my packing is wonderful. They even let me pay for the return shipping and put the return labels in the boxes so all I would have to do is re-pack, slap the labels on and take it down to ship back home. Gave me a discount with the return shipping.
I tell you, nerve-racking sending one of your "babies" off all on its own...LOL!!!
Looking forward to meeting up with fellow CCers there!
Oh, this is not a competition...definitely not ready for one of those.
It is just the gallery where you show a cake. Some will end up in the ICES magazine. It's just scary that my cake had to go ahead of me all on its own. It will be sitting in Shipping/Receiving at the hotel when I get there.
All I will have to do is pick it up, unpack it, go to the cake hospital if I have any repairs to make and then set it up.
How in the world do you ship a cake without it becoming a disaster? What page is your cake on in your photos? Would love to see it.
