i am doing a topsy turvy cake. can i stack 3 8" round 2"deep layers on top of each other without dowling, or will that third layer make it too heavy? i know i need to dowel the top tier. this will be 3 layers of the same size. i don't want to squish it, but i don't want to make it too hard for the people to cut.

I have never done a tupsy turvy before, but just to be on the safe side, I would go ahead and dowel the cake. icon_razz.gif
