So I went shopping today and was sooo excited to find a beautiful white ceramic cake stand at TJ Maxx for $7, YES! only $7 on clearence! I was beyond myself, it was 12" in diameter with a beautiful border for ribbons... so I drove home and DH came out to help me carry stuff and before I knew it, one of the bags didn't make it, he droped it right on my foyer (ceramic tile icon_cry.gif ) broke in a 1000 little pieces... Poor DH felt HORRIBLE and promised to replace it... oh well, what can I say!
I just want to cry, to be mad and cry some more BUT I guess it isn't worth it, DH feels really bad already, don't want to make it bigger than what it is.
I know you ladies will understand my pain and would let me rant a little...

I understand your pain, but be glad you didn't pay full price for the item or your pain would be a heck of a lot worse!

I've seen the same cake stand at the TJ Max here. I'll check to see if it is onn sale here if you want.

Being a pedestal cake plate collector I so feel your pain. I know he felt as bad as you did. Hopefully you will find a replacement at the same price, plates, not husbands. icon_biggrin.gif

oh! icon_surprised.gificon_sad.gif That's terrible. I'm sure your husband feels really bad about it but so nice of you to try to make him feel better. Good thing it was only $9 though!

It looks like a beautiful stand! check out if there are other TJ Maxxes in the area. I know I have about three within reasonable driving distance. Also, I'd be a little worried about the ceramic tile floor ... no crack or chip?
