Hi all,

For those of you that do not have a store front (either are "legal" out of your house or rent a kitchen or what not), how do you deal with making orders "official"? Do you have a contract or form people must fill out? In person, on your website, etc.?? I currently just communicate by email but I am in the process of becoming legal and looking into renting a kitchen at a restaurant. I probably won't see too many people face to face when they order. Also, do you make them pay before the cake is delivered? In full, a percentage, over a certain dollar amount, etc?? If you have a contract/order form, how did you get it/create it??

I know, lots of questions!! Sorry icon_biggrin.gif

thanks!

Whether I meet them face to face or do everything via email, I ALWAYS email the documents. Their email confirming the order is the "signature" (as stipulated in my Terms of Agreement). This way everything is in writing ... every communication, every question, every confirmation. Nothing is ever done verbally. All by email.
