I'm making a tiered wedding cake next weekend. This is the first time that I've ever delivered a cake the day before the event, rather than the day of. I don't want it to dry out, or be open for "flying things" to land on it, and of course my cake covers aren't big enough for a tiered cake. So, How do you cover and/or store a tiered cake, without messing up the decorations? Thanks for your help
maybe you could get a big moving box???? one that has more than enough room on all sides and on top adn just set it over top of the cake while it's on a table.....then it will keep stray hairs and dust or anything else in the air from adhering to the icing.......if it's bc or fondant I don't think you have to worry about it drying out......they pretty much seal the moisture in the cake.
i do not cover any of my wedding cakes.. is the cake going to be kept out at the reception site or in the walk in cooler or refrigertator overnight ?
