I have a wedding next week that has three tiers. They now are thinking about make those 2-layer tiers into three layers.

How much more does this add to the serving sizes and pricing....do you add 1/2 more??

Not sure what to tell them! Please help icon_confused.gif

Did they say why they wanted to add a third layer? Are they adding it for extra servings or a taller cake? If they are looking for more servings I'd probably tell them to add on another tier.

Me personally, wouldn't cut the pieces any smaller, because then they are likely to just fall apart between the cake and the plate. So I would tell them the serving sizes are the same, but I would charge more for it.
