What is the easiest way to decorate the bodice of the Barbie doll when using the wonder mold. I have a hard time getting the icing on smooth. The cake is no problem, only the top of the barbie.

I used fondant on mine and then made lines in front and did cornelli lace.I then painted it with silver lustre dust.

I do small stars - #14 sounds about right!

I took a "paper doll" approach, using the fondant as my paper. I just put the doll pick down, traced around her bodice, then designed away on paper, then used that as a pattern to cut my fondant and decorated. I used piping gel as my glue.

If you are going to use BC, take a round tip, I used a 5, then dipped my finger in cornstarch & patted smooth, then decorate.

I used the flat side of the basketweave tip to make ruffles. Go from the bottom to the top.

Thanks for all the ideas. I decided to try fondant on her bodice. Worked ok, need some more practice.
