I let them hang on a dowel over night.

In addition to hanging them over something (I use empty cardboard tubes such as waxed paper tubes, paper towel tubes, etc.), make sure you put some waxed paper on there first so the fondant doesn't stick to the tube.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much!! What about cutting out figures? I use templates to cut out shapes, and it's not cutting smoothly. Has anyone else had that problem. I think next time I might just stick with fondant. I'm going to the only cake store in Dallas today, to see if they have another brand of fondant.

...when I did daisy cutouts, I had to kind of work the cutter back and forth after I pushed it down...to try and make nice edges...kind of twisted it a bit while pushing down...icon_wink.gif

I mix 50/50 with gumpaste to help in the drying. It helps to put a bit of Crisco on the cutter, the cut releases better, giving a cleaner result, the twisting a bit is a good idea, too. To maintain the form of the loop for a bow, adowel, or cardboard tube is a good tool. I put wax paper over cardboard, it slows the drying a bit but reduces the sticking. Crisco or such on the dowel will help the loop slid off easily. Have fun.

Thank you guys a lot!!! That really helps. One more problem. I used royal blue to tint the mmf, and the color is not the same as when I use fondant. Does it color differently?
