Has anyone ever made Ganache with 1/2&1/2? Does it work? Can you tell the difference in taste or decorating ease?

It will take a lot longer to whip up, if at all. Then, it will break down much more easily than if you use heavy whipping cream, so it is not so easy to decorate with. That's my experience anyway, when I didn't have any cream on hand, and figured, what the heck? And I gave half/half a try, and learned a lesson.
Maybe others have had success with it, though. Anyone?

Probably not enough fat to work well.

Thanks for your responses. I guess I'll have to go to the store to pick up some cream. icon_rolleyes.gif
