I was at my boyfriends granny's house the other day and we started talking about cake decorating. She used to decorate years ago. I was asking her about royal icing because I had never tried it before. Well, in the middle of the conversation she gets up, goes into the pantry and comes back with a 3 pound bag of meringue powder and says I can have it. I'm thinking "I haven't even opened my little can of wilton stuff I bought a couple weeks ago and she want me to use all of this". I like it when she gives me things just not an over abundance of them (i.e. the 1000 pre-cut sheets of wax paper) lol. 
. I just thought this was a funny little story I could share.

I love her to death! She is hilarious. Her favorite show is Everybody Loves Raymond, and everytime she watches it she she says Marie reminds her of herself. Lol, she's not that bad though. Oh and when I bring my dog over, she doesn't even talk to us, just him. Earlier this week we went to see her and as soon as she seen the dog she opened the door for him and then proceeded to follow him into the house while shutting the door on my boyfriend and I. LOL, I think she loves my dog more than her grandson. 
awwww, makes me miss my granny. Isnt it funny how they give their stuff away. From the time my girls were little my husbands granny would always walk the girls to her room and tell them , now pick out a necklace for yourself (it was always the big plastic costume jewelry) lol, they always got a kick out of that
lol this may be confusing but
my boyfriends step dads father, used to decorate cakes, and stoped many years ago, but still had some cake dummies, and they made it into my hands 
i think its awesome... cakes have changed SOOOOOOOOO much.. his cakes used to be all buttercream, lace and extension work..
