I was just wondering what is the highest anyone has ever stacked a tiered wedding cake, using push through pillars as the only support. There will be about a 3 inch space between each tier, as I plan on using the 7 inch push through spikes. My daughter wants a 7 tier cake next month next month for her wedding. I have been doing cakes for 20 years, I never had one fall yet, and I surely do not want hers to be the first!! I never have gone that high before. Any tips, suggestions, or horror stories???

it seems like i have seen some pretty tall cakes on this site......I would look in the wedding gallery if you find a pic as tall as you are wanting to do then PM the decorator and ask them...never done a wedding cake myself....Mine was three double teirs and two double satellite cakes and I thought my wedding cake looked big...LOL
