This may sound silly but I am needing a way to store my Americolor colors so I can just look and see what color I need. They are in a small rubbermaid container and are all over the place and I pick them all up to see what color I need. I know there is probably more things to worry about but I just like being organized. Any suggestions???
Can you put a color dot on the lid?.... Maybe make some color flow icing, and each time you pull out a color to use, color a quarter tsp and when it's dry, glue it to the lid...sounds like a lot of work huh lol? Maybe just dye a white sticky dot with the color...
are they the small bottles becuase my bottles have dots on top to see what color they are. I store in them a small box with my luster dust any extra room I just put some bubble wrap to keep the bottles from rolling around.
If large bottle just get a pernament maker and write the name on the top
My Americolors have the dot on top already. They came with sticker on top. My way of storing them - I have one of those garage storage cabinets (bought for my husband a couple of years ago and he never opened it). The top lid opens and the bottles fit in there perfectly along with luster dusts & etc.
That's a really neat idea about the garage thing and the bubble wrap!!
I don't know if this will work with the small bottles of americolor but if you have the larger bottles I wonder if the Paint carousel thingy they sell at A.C. Moore would work??? It's made for putting those 4oz. bottles of paint in......they all sit in it kinda at an angle so the lid points out somewhat to see the color dot on the lid and each one holds a ton of paint! They are like 15-20 dollars depending.....but if you get the 40%off coupon it could be REALLY cheap! It stands up on a table or counter top and it spins to make findint the color you need easier.
