Hi all, I am making a kaluha and pudding type filling and I was wondering, after I use a filling like this do I have to refriderate it? I am putting together a stand tomorrow at our local market along with other vendors and didnt know if it would be ok....I just dont want to sell spoiled cake ![]()
its hard to tell without seeing your recipe and knowing what the ingredients are. if you're uncertain than you might want to make sure it is frozen/well chilled when you take it, so that it stays nice and cool for several hours.
I have kaluha, heaving whipping cream, and pudding mix...its one of the recipes from here and it is supper yummy!! I just wasnt sure if it would need to stay in the fridge....
Thanks so much!
ahh, yes that will need to stay chilled. you might want to consider using bettercream or pastry pride instead. or as i said, chill it really well, or put it in the freezer for a couple hours and then take it. that way hopefully it will stay cool. you might want to keep it in a cake box, and put the box in a travel cooler of some sort. that would probably help!
