Well I got done with this last night. I will have to say that it looks better in person than in this picture but still not great. I did drop flowers all over the cake and a teal green center. It is only for 25-30 people so it was a small cake. For some reason in the picture the cakes don't appear to look the same size, but they are. Please give me any suggestions for my next cake. Wedding cakes scare me!!!!

Wow-that's a lot of drop flowers! I love the teal centers. I would be worried moving that cake unless you are putting it on top of another sturdier base. I don't want this to sound like criticism-just looking out for your hard work!

I love drop flowers! What a great idea! Don't let wedding cakes scare you. Just think of them as a few separte birthday cakes that you end up stacking on top of eachother. Does the bride have a topper for the cake?? Sometimes a topper will just pull everything together and make the cake really pop!

Yes we are putting some flowers on top when I get it there. The bottom base of the cake is a sturdy hickory board. Thanks for the info though--I learned that from trial and error with my first 3 tier I done. I didn't destroy it, but it needed a lot of work so I now use a hickory board that I had left over from my kitchen cabinets.

Very pretty, what a neat idea to use all drop flowers with the color in the centers! thumbs_up.gif

And yes, push that cake back onto the counter, it's making me nervous. LOL

Very well done Chrissy736.

That had to have been a lot of work.

i HATE drop flowers. doing them, that is. for me, it is the most difficult of all the icing-from-the-bag flowers.

Of course this is only my second and it was only a 2 tier and I went ahead and assembled it. My first was a 3 tier and I had a lot pf problems with it I guess cause it was my first didn't help any. Idon't think I would feel comfortable assembling a 3tier or more cake until I got there, but I guess its just whatever you feel comfortable with. Thanks for all the comments everyone!!!
