I just had my second Wilton Class this evening..... we finally got to decorate a cake in class.

I had a heck of a time with the cake... first the cake stuck to the pan, so I had to remodel it, and patch together with BC cause I didnt have time for a re-bake... then I found out I lost my spatula, so had to frost with the teeny thing you get in the course kit... then even after a crumb coat the cake stuck to the frosting and crumbs are all through the BC, Ugh talk about fun! Im still new to this all, so it's all a learning experience right?

On the bright side, I had the smoothest BC in class heehehe.

I gave the cake to a friend who has a daughter named kali, hence the name-- we kind of put it on last minute in a rush.

Cake decorating is SO much fun isn't it?! You did a great job on the tight zigzag design at the bottom of the rainbow -mine didn't look that good. What colour frosting did you use on the zigzag border? Is it gray or white (the light kinda hits it to where it makes it look like it might be a mixture)?
