boonenati did an excellent tutorial for a purse cake. Here is the link she posted

I just asked a question about a purse cake not too long ago and got alot of help. I took everyones ideas and rolled it all into one. Heres what I did, keep in mind that this was for 100 people so I used 1/4 sheets but for smaller you could use loaf pans. I was making a Louis Vuitton purse and I baked 3 1/4 sheets and put them each on cake board but decreased the size of the board on the middle one and then a little more on the top one so that when I carved it I didnt have to cut through board, just cake. I then put icing on the top of the bottom cake, put some dowel rods in it and then placed the next one on top, iced that one, doweled it then put the top one on and then carved the shape I wanted. I then crumb coated it and let it set then covered the basic shape with my fondant. After that it was easy to do the accents, strap, design...im sure you know how to do all that. It was only my second sculpted cake, my first being a 3-d replica of beaver stadium, but I must say it turned out beautifully. Hope this helped you a little ![]()

You should be able to use the instructions I posted to turn the cake into a purse instead of a make up bag. Using a sugarcraft gun you just need to make a handle for it, and Voila!! You've got a purse
