I know that this topic has been touched before, but I have to shout about Pastry Pride. I have been a hard core butter cream gal since picking up the decorating bag, but I have heard so much about Rich's and Pastry Pride that I had to try it (I bought some a fewe months back and stuck it in my freezer thinking "one day..................". Well, one day is here. I made some Tres Leches cakes for my kids' teachers and it called for non dairy whipped topping for the top of the cake, so I decided to use my Pastry Pride instead. OMG!!! It whipped up so fast and spread so nicely, and tasted so good!! I will no longer turn my nose up to whipped icings. I'm still not convinced about fondant though.
For those of you who are new to decorating, you can buy Pastry Pride at Smart and Final in the freezer section (deserts).... not expensive and very good.
